Wingham Trotters Annual Road Race
Sunday 11th September 2011
The 25th anniversary staging of the Wingham 10 km/5km road race was held on the 11 September 2011.
We hope everyone that took part or was a spectator enjoyed the event despite the blustery condtions. A big thank you to everyone who took part and to all our sponsors- please support them as they support us.
Please find the revised results below. We have updated the results using the feedback and comments received. Thank you for these. We are not infallible so do let us have any comments on the results for accuracy and the event in general by email.
We hope to be back for another 25 years starting on the 9 September 2012. See you then!

Age restrictions
The 5km & 10km races are now only open to those who are 12 and older (due to AAA rules) but there are shorter distances available to all those younger. The Junior Fun Runs (unmeasured courses, three age groups) will take place off-road on the Recreation Ground following the start of the main race at 10.30am. Registration for juniors is only available on the day. There will be medals for the first and second boys and girls home in the various age groups and everyone will receive a small edible prize!!

Committee
The Run is managed entirely by volunteers who usually meet in one of the local pubs to organise the event. New volunteers are very welcome to join the team - no experience of running is required. If you would like to join the committee, or volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper etc on the day please let us know HERE. The annual run supports a number of village organisations. |
